Of all the places I have been and every beach I have visited, Zakynthos, in my opinion, has the best beaches in the world.
The water is clear and blue, stretching out over white sand as far as the eye can see. Then there are the rocky volcanic beaches and caves, filling the air with the smell of sulphur; the beaches full of mineral mud, popular with both the locals and the visitors in the know. But it’s not the scenery that gets me. Every beach around the world has something unique and beautiful about it. But in Greece the beach experience is a way of life. A beach here is n’t just a stretch of sand, it’s a paradise filled with chilled out house music, a new DJ on the decks every afternoon, with hammocks, loungers and four poster beds for visitors to rest and relax on. And all of this is for everyone and anyone to enjoy.
And this is why I keep coming back year after year and why you should do too.
