Hey guys. Today I am transmitting from the blue lagoon again, that luxuriously warm puddle I was splashing around in in this post. This time though, I got to experience both the highs and the lows all quite literally and all at the same time.

The day I went to the Blue Lagoon, it decided to snow and hail. And it did so horizontally, thanks to the gail force winds. Everyone immediately got out and left. But as a Brit, it was pretty much my national duty to stick around and enjoy the bad weather. Not to mention, getting both burnt an frozen at the same time is a daily occurrence thanks to the wonders of British plumbing.

So an hour or so later, I was left feet that were burning from the geothermal heat, and everything else was burning from the the mild frost-bite. At that point, it didn’t matter which, because both the bottom and the top half of me looked equally lobster.

Silver lining – when I get back to London, I can cancel my Balinese body scrub spa day, because after the wind and the ice I am not sure I have any skin left to scrub off.
