Happy International Women’s Day. How are you celebrating the day? For me, as luck may have it, one of my favourite yearly holidays also coincided with the weekend, meaning that I was swimming in a sea of orchids at Kew (more on that later on the blog, so stay tuned) and diving into buckets of fresh flowers at Columbia Road. Apart from treating myself to bouquets of pure fresh and fragrant awesomeness, I picked up some flowers for some of the ladies in my life who totally deserve to be loved, respected and appreciated, especially today. This was all inspired by the recent Pandora Wishing Tree event (which I talked about in my previous post) which got me and fellow bloggers thinking all about what matters most to us.
Speaking of Pandora, I got their signature Love bracelet from them following the event. I have confess right now, that no matter how hard I try, I am just not a big jewellery wearer. I live in my diamante stud earrings and pendant, mostly because they never come off. But wearing rings, bracelets and other jewellery usually feels like more hassle than I can take. Every time I wash my hands, cook, clean, type, shower they either get in the way or I take them off and get paralysed by the fear of dropping them down the sink. So by now, I was convinced that I just have to get my style cool points some other way. That is, until I met the aforementioned Pandora Love bracelet. I have been wearing it since I blogged about it 3 days ago, and right now it feels like a genuinely groundbreaking piece of jewellery to me. I can’t feel to on my wrist, it does’t get in the way, it doesn’t make loud clunking noises when I take notes in meetings and it never gets caught on anything. This thing is literally perfect. And because today is the day of appreciation, I decided to give some floral love to my companion – the Pandora Love bracelet, by styling this floral shoot. Enjoy. And happy Women’s Day.
